Preliminary Cover for Life of a Librarian

Today’s been a day.

My characters for Life of a Librarian are finally talking to me again after six months of silent treatment. And for some reason, my MC is going “I’m not a girl. Quit writing me into this as a girl.”

I literally can’t relate to my MC as a female now. I can’t. I’m not feeling it. I don’t know what to make of this. It means scrapping the entire project and changing so many dynamics.

So. Here’s what I’m going to do.

I know I usually post my books as a page by page (I do try to format them to be the same size as a mass market paperback page.) This time, I’m going to do something different. I’m going to post what Life of a Librarian is as whole chapters. Then I’m going to dismantle what I have and write it how my characters are telling me to write it now. I wanted to preserve some of what I had. I like some of the jokes and sarcasm, but most of it’s gonna have to get tossed. And I also have to think up new names for my MC and LI…and a myriad of other adjustments, but I feel like it’s the right direction to take this.

So, that’s what I’m doing today. You’re going to end up with a bunch of posts, but I have to move Life of a Librarian along, and Grace-Alice is wanting to be someone else.

I am a writer and artist working through the Kavordian Library series. I write sci-fi, fantasy, lgbt romance.
